Twelve days of Kiwi Christmas

 Today in Room 2, we went into groups and made a presentation about "Twelve days of Kiwi Christmas" my group was Kiaana, Alexis, Houston, Nikau, and Alex. First we came up with ideas of who was going to do what, I did 9 and 10 (9 tui's singing and 10 boogie boards floating)

I found it easy to insert the Tui background and think of my ideas.

I found it hard to find the right colour for the text so it would show and you could read it clearly.

Next time I will try to find our mistakes quicker so we don't waste time.

What Christmas means to me.

 

We were learning about how to make an animation about what Christmas means to me and write about what Christmas means to me.

I found it easy to copy and paste the snowflakes for my Christmas animation.

I found it hard to find the right dog to put in the box for the animation.

Next time I need to probably try do a bigger writing.

Fireworks acrostic poem

 

We were learning about how to write acrostic poems, guy fawkes, and fireworks!

It was easy to insert the firework image and copy and paste the writing.

I found it hard to try not to copy the examples on our team toroa site.

Next time I need to do more writing and not get distracted.

Maori Colours

 

We were learning about Te Reo and the Maori colours, so I did a rainbow with the English and Maori names. I found it easy to figure out the Maori names for the colours and insert the rainbow shape for the start slides. I found it hard to trace around a picture of the rainbow in the last slides. Next time I should maybe add more colours.

My fake postcard

 

 

We learned how people usually scam others online. (Which I would never do) 

I enjoyed creating the stamp for the postcard. 

It was hard to find the right pictures for the postcard.

I found it easy to insert the photos I had selected and move them to the areas I wanted them to be.

Next time I will try to do a better 'fake postcard'.

 My buddy is Isabella, we are going to be listing 10 reasons that make a good recount.

We were learning about: Listing 10 reasons that make a good recount.

I found it easy: To think of what to put into the list.

I found it hard: To try not to exactly copy Isabella.

• To include; What, when, who, how.
• Include descriptive words.
• Saying what you; Smell, hear, see, taste.
• Punctuation; (. , ? ! " ) (Full stops, comma, question marks, exclamation marks, and speech marks.)
• Adding nouns, adverbs, verbs, and adjectives.
• Paragraphs.
• Good Facts.
• Capital letters for a name, place, and after a full stop.
• Having a creative title.
• Similes and Onomatopoeia.

My writing goal for this term: Is to add more descriptive words into my writing.

 I found it easy to... Insert the backgrounds and copy and paste from the google doc into the google slide. 

 I found it hard to... Think of what I should say in the poem.
